Tabshooter Acoustic Camera
The Tabshooter is an acoustic camera and is a device that uses an array of microphones to visualize sound sources. It works by using beamforming algorithms to analyze the time differences of sound arrival at each microphone, creating a visual overlay of sound intensity on a camera image. This allows users to “see” sound and precisely locate noise sources.

Compressed air is a costly form of energy and 20 to 40% of it is lost through leaks.
Systematically checking for and eliminating leaks can therefore bring considerable energy
savings. Film, pinpoint and photograph the precise spots where compressed air, steam,
pressurized gas, vacuum are leaking or where high voltage faults are located using
TABSHOOTER® TBS72 & TBS140. TABSHOOTER® TBS72 & TBS140 are high performance acoustic cameras, extremely sensitive and accessible to everyone.
Thanks to BEAMFORMING technology, they are capable to find all leaks including the very small from several tens of meters away. Leaks can be detected in all types of industrial
environment thanks to the possibility of adjusting frequency band (from 2kHz to 100kHz), to filter all undesirable noise out. TABSHOOTER® TBS72 & TBS140 have a fully automatic detection capability. Facing a leak, a real time color spot will appear on thelarge 8” screen.
Detection is immediate. No need to waste time to scan or to precisely pinpoint the scene.
On each alphanumeric and timestamped photo, you can see its dB SPL leak level and
its per/year estimated cost. Photos and videos can be downloaded to WINDOWS PC to create
reports. The visual detection can be supplemented by acoustic monitoring (heterodyne), thanks to headphones or internal embedded speaker.
Optional wireless infrared thermal camera TBSIR (-20°C > +550°C with 256x192px) dedicated
to thermal analysis with Min.-Max.-Center cursors in full screen.
TABSHOOTER® TBS72 & TBS140 accessories are available as for example the ultrasonic
dome for tightness tests or the leak report editor.
